R Programming

R Programming

Getting started with R can be challenging, but several support networks exist to help you level up.

Drop-ins

We meet every Tuesday morning, 9-11am, for an R drop-in session. Sessions are currently held in the Data Studios of the Main Library. See the schedule for upcoming sessions.

Answers

Connect with the active community on our Slack Workspace where you can ask questions about R, Python, or your favorite data science topic. Use the sign-up form to join the community.

Lessons

All the R lesson materials for workshops that are run during the Tuesday morning sessions are available online as web pages and PDFs. These are mostly introductory-level R programming lessons providing how-to instructions for common analysis and data visualization tasks.

Stats & FAQs

The University of Arizona Statistics Consulting Lab offers statistical consulting support for UA students, staff, and faculty.

If you are specifically looking for statistics help in R, there is a really nice suite of resources provided by UCLA's Advanced Research Computing team. The resources are mostly focused on statistical analyses, but they also include a nice set of general-purpose R FAQs.
